INCREASE BODY METABOLISM IF YOU WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT

Assalamualaikum and hi hi hi everything... my children loves to tease me whenever we hang out especially when a weighing kiosk is around... they knew how terrified I would become just by looking at the scale... this has always been one of the laughing session (lots more actually) plus some giggling by them... hehehehe... I have always weighted up to a maximum of 38 kilograms during my active working lifestyle previously... just for the record, I was weighted at 48 kilograms for these past few weeks!

IT IS A WHOLESOME INCREASE OF 10 KILOGRAMS!

I felt terribly upset with myself at first... however, I quickly pick up myself and pledge to change...

HOW TO CHANGE?

Yes, I need to first change my eating habit... I remembered, before I stepped into this new place four years back, I have had a hectic lifestyle with starting to drive up for work (and sending over my children to school) at least before 6:15 AM and reached home earliest by 8:30 PM due to the traffic jammed issue... however, when I am here (I am grateful, seriously), alhamdulillah, things are 360 degrees different... I am having a lot of freedom with a balance working lifestyle BUT I didn't watch my diet accordingly... so, there's where I am at wrong... with a lesser wink to my diet and seldom exercising, there comes the additional 10 kilograms...

As I am getting wiser (with the age increase of course... chuckle), my body metabolism decreases inversely proportional definitely... actually, it is normal provided we have to ensure that we assist in building back the metabolism pace... so, let us learn a lil bit regarding metabolism... let's go...

WHAT IS METABOLISM?

Metabolism consists of all chemical reactions that occur in organisms, including those that occur at the cellular level... generally, metabolism has a two-way pathway of organic chemical reactions, catabolism, namely the reaction of molecules that break down organic compounds to obtain energy and anabolism, namely the reaction of organic compounds assembling certain molecules, to be absorbed by body cells...

Both directions of metabolic pathways are necessary for every organism to survive... the direction is determined by the metabolic pathways of compounds known as hormones, and are accelerated (catalysts) by enzymes... in organic compounds, deciding the direction of a chemical reaction is called a promoter and the acceleration of a chemical reaction is what is called a catalyst...

In each direction of metabolism, the chemical reaction involving the enzyme substrate reacts with the reaction catalyst level to produce an intermediate, which is the substrate for the reaction to the next level... the overall chemical reagent involved in the reaction is called the metabolome rate...

ANABOLISM

Anabolism is a metabolic pathway that compiles several simple organic compounds into chemical compounds or complex molecules... this process requires external energy whereby the energy used in this reaction can be in the form of light energy or chemical energy... this energy is then used to bind simple compounds into more complex compounds... thus, in the anabolism process, the required energy is not lost, but is stored in the form of chemical bonds in the complex compounds formed.

Anabolism includes three basic stages:
1) First, the production of precursors such as amino acids, monosaccharides, and nucleotides.
2) Second, is the activation of these compounds into reactive forms using energy from ATP.
3) Third, the incorporation of these precursors into complex molecules, such as proteins, polysaccharides, fats, and nucleic acids.

The products of anabolism are useful in essential functions which include glycogen and protein as fuel in the body, nucleic acids for copying genetic information... on the other hand, proteins, lipids, and carbohydrates make up the body structure of living things, both intracellular and extracellular... if the synthesis of these materials is faster than their breakdown, the organisms will grow...

The reactions involved in the anabolic reactions are photosynthesis and chemosynthesis whereby photosynthesis is an anabolic reaction that uses light energy while chemosynthesis is an anabolic reaction that uses chemical energy...

CATABOLISM

Catabolism is the reaction of breaking down or dismantling complex chemical compounds containing high energy into simpler compounds containing lower energy... the main purpose of catabolism is to liberate the energy contained in the source compound...

The disassembly process is divided into two types, namely as follows:
1) If the disassembly of a substance in the environment requires sufficient oxygen (aerobic) it is called the process of respiration.
2) If the disassembly of a substance in the environment without the need for oxygen (anaerobic) is called a fermentation process.

METABOLISM FUNCTIONS

1) REPLACING DAMAGED CELLS

In the process of protein metabolism, there will be the evolution of two compounds, namely polymers and amino acid monomers... polymers themselves are proteins that have various functions such as compiling cell structures and changing damaged cells, so that the process of protein metabolism, cell or tissue destruction in the body can be handled quickly...

2) TISSUE RESPIRATION IN THE BODY

You can get this function when the body's metabolic process is in a good and optimal situation, and the nutritional intake needed by the body is properly fulfilled...

3) BODY TISSUE GROWTH

We need to know, almost all nutrients that enter the body of living things have the same function, namely for the development of body tissues... so, when nutrients can be processed into energy, tissue development will occur automatically...

4) CELL BUILDING UNIT COMPOSER

Not only is it useful for changing damaged cells, but metabolism is also useful for assembling the building blocks of cells, especially protein metabolism...

So, if you are trying to lose weight like me, your metabolism needs to be increased to help you reach that goal faster... what to do?...

WAYS TO INCREASE METABOLISM

1) DRINK AT LEAST EIGHT GLASSES OF WATER A DAY

Eight glasses of water recommended by a nutritionist will help your body to function at an optimal level... a well-functioning body allows the body's metabolic rate to work at its best...

2) ADEQUATE SLEEP

Adult humans need at least seven or eight hours of sleep... lack of sleep can interfere with the body’s ability to burn calories... adequate sleep is very important to maintain a healthy metabolism... however, do not over -sleep, this habit will cause the metabolic rate to decrease...

3) AVOID FEELING DEPRESSED

When in a high stress situation, the hormone cortisol will send a signal for the body to store fat... stress will increase the amount of cortisol in the body... therefore, avoid feeling depressed... if you are in a situation that is seen to be stressful, leave immediately... love your mental health...

4) DRINK GREEN TEA

Green tea contains polyphenols that can increase the rate of metabolism... polyphenols are a type of antioxidant that works to reduce free radicals in the human body... polyphenols also serve to protect the human body from disease and infection... drink four to five cups of green tea a day to see its effectiveness...

5) EAT ENOUGH PROTEIN

The muscles built into the body help the process of burning calories... no matter what you do, calories will still be burned... interesting isn't it?... protein is a nutrient that is difficult to break down and digest by the body... this causes calorie burning to increase even more after eating...

Let's do this everyone... gals and guys, we can do it!... let us take one small step after another... believe me, we will achieve the weight that we wanted (or at least we actually have to gain)... pstttt, I managed to reduce one kilogram within one week... slow, yeah... but I am trying... so, let's do it together!...

xoxo

  1. Before this, its hard for me to increase weight but suddenly after around 26s above my weight increased slightly.

I think because of metabolism lowered maybe ? Or my intake = higher during COVID-19. Haha.
